Live ... From Los Angeles ...

It's Jimmy Fallon From 'Saturday Night Live!'

immy Fallon is not your average party animal, the usual high energy performer you might find on the stage at The Roxy on the Sunset Strip. But is he funny?

Oh yes.

The star of SNL's "Weekend Update" performed a mixture of stand-up comedy, song parodies while playing guitar, and dead-on celebrity impressions. We laughed, we cried, we laughed some more. Good times, good times. For the most part, Fallon appeared shy and sometimes uncomfortable onstage. He consistently paced back and forth while looking down at the ground, and he ruffled his hair. A lot. Some annoying girl in the crowd kept yelling, "Take your pants off!" Finally, one time when she yelled it, a guy shouted out, "SHUT UP!" Everyone cheered and clapped, and Jimmy just stared at the ground and laughed. He never took his pants off.

For his Coldplay song, Fallon had us singing along: "I bought a troll, I bought a troll for you. The one you wanted was blue. They only had yellow."

Fallon's songs were amusing. One of his numbers was a mock audition for a commercial for troll dolls. He placed a troll with pink hair on a stool, brought out the gee-tar, and pretended to "audition" bands for the commercial. This included troll-themed parodies by U2, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Alanis Morrisette and many more. For his Coldplay song, Fallon had us singing along: "I bought a troll, I bought a troll for you. The one you wanted was blue. They only had yellow." Bwwwaaahahahaha!

I especially enjoyed Jimmy's tribute to the 80s. Who knew that MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" can be played behind any 80s hit. Thanks, Jimmy. I'll sleep better now.

Following the performance, we ran into actress Kirsten Dunst outside the club. She mingled with fans and showed her sweet side, graciously signing autographs and posing for pictures with the GoodTimes-LA staff. Other celebrities in attendance included David Spade (who nearly ran me over), Simon Rex, and Sarah Chalke (from NBC's TV show, "Scrubs").

All in all, Fallon's live performance proved to be a rootin' tootin' good time, even if The Roxy is a zit in the armpit of seedy L.A.

You wanna know more about this silly man, don't you? Good thinking. Hop on over to JimmyFallon.net and see what the next best thing is all about.
